The No. 3 Texas Longhorns put on a show in their final Big 12 season, dominating the Baylor Bears 38-6. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger was also impressive, throwing for three touchdowns and running for another.
The Longhorns got off to a fast start, scoring on their first two possessions. Ehlinger connected with Brennan Eagles for a 26-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring. On the next drive, Ehlinger ran for a 14-yard touchdown to give Texas a 14-0 lead. The Longhorns would never look back, as their defense shut down the Bears the rest of the way.
The Longhorns’ defense was led by safety Caden Sterns and linebacker Joseph Ossai. Sterns had two interceptions and Ossai had two sacks and a forced fumble. The Longhorns’ defensive line also had a strong performance, holding the Bears to just 87 yards rushing.
Offensively, the Longhorns were led by Ehlinger and running back Keaontay Ingram. Ehlinger threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, while Ingram ran for 109 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Joshua Moore also had a big day, catching five passes for 87 yards and a touchdown.
