The No. 14 LSU Tigers had a huge win over the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday night, with a final score of 42-30. The Tigers were led by freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels, who had an impressive performance with four touchdown passes.
Daniels was on fire from the start of the game, throwing two touchdowns in the first quarter. He then threw two more in the second quarter, giving the Tigers a 28-17 lead at halftime. Daniels finished the game with a total of 269 yards passing, completing 20 of his 28 attempts.
The Tigers’ defense also had a great game, holding the Aggies to just 13 points in the second half. They forced two turnovers and sacked Aggies quarterback Kellen Mond three times. The defense was also able to contain running back Isaiah Spiller, who was held to just 64 yards rushing.
The Tigers offense was also able to run the ball effectively, with running back John Emery Jr. leading the way with 106 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. also had a big game, catching five passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Overall, it was a great team effort from the Tigers, who now have a record of 5-2. With Daniels continuing to improve each week, the Tigers are looking like a legitimate contender in the SEC West. If they can keep up this level of play, they could be in for a special season.
