Fromm finished the day with 18 completions for 240 yards and two touchdowns, while Cager had five receptions for 94 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bulldogs’ defense was also key in the victory, holding Auburn to just 20 points and forcing two turnovers. Linebacker Monty Rice led the way with 11 tackles, while safety Richard LeCounte had seven tackles and a forced fumble.
The game was close throughout, with the Bulldogs leading 17-13 at halftime. However, the Bulldogs were able to pull away in the second half thanks to a big fourth quarter touchdown pass from Fromm to Cager. The touchdown put the Bulldogs up 24-13 and sealed the victory for Georgia.
The connection between Fromm and Cager has been a key part of Georgia’s success this season. The two have connected for seven touchdowns this season, with four of them coming in the last two games.
Overall, it was a great win for the Bulldogs and a great performance from Fromm and Cager. With the win, Georgia improves to 8-0 on the season and will look to continue their success as they head into their next game against Missouri.
