The 2020 Heisman Trophy voting has come to a close, and the results are in. Michael Penix Jr. of the University of Wisconsin finished as the runner-up, coming in just behind Jayden Daniels of Louisiana State University.

Michael Penix Jr. had a remarkable season for the University of Wisconsin, leading the Badgers to a Big Ten West Division title and a berth in the Big Ten Championship game. Penix Jr. was a key factor in the Badgers’ success, throwing for 2,166 yards and 17 touchdowns while completing 66.7% of his passes. He also ran for 463 yards and five touchdowns.

Penix Jr. was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy alongside Daniels and Trevor Lawrence of Clemson University. While he didn’t win the award, he still had an impressive showing, finishing second in the voting.

Jayden Daniels of Louisiana State University was the winner of the 2020 Heisman Trophy. Daniels had a stellar season for the Tigers, throwing for 2,843 yards and 17 touchdowns while completing 67.7% of his passes. He also ran for 486 yards and four touchdowns.
