The Miami Dolphins have been dealt a blow ahead of their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has been cleared from the concussion protocol, but linebacker Jaelan Phillips has been ruled out for the game.

Waddle, who was selected sixth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, has been dealing with a concussion since Week 8. He missed the Dolphins’ last two games, but was able to practice in a limited capacity this week and was cleared from the protocol on Friday. He is expected to be available for Sunday’s game against the Bills.

Phillips, who was selected 18th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, has been dealing with an ankle injury since Week 10. He did not practice this week and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

The Dolphins will need to rely on their other defensive players to step up in Phillips’ absence. They will also need Waddle to make an impact on offense if they are to have any chance of beating the Bills.

The Dolphins have had a roller coaster of a season so far, but they are still in the hunt for a playoff spot. They will need to take advantage of every opportunity they get if they are to make it to the postseason. Sunday’s game against the Bills is a big one, and with Waddle back in the lineup, the Dolphins will be hoping to come away with a win.
