The Montana Grizzlies had a big win on Saturday, defeating the Idaho State Bengals 28-20. The Grizzlies were led by quarterback Dalton McDowell, who had a stellar performance with both passing and rushing touchdowns.
McDowell started the game off strong, throwing a 10-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Josh Horner in the first quarter. He followed that up with a 15-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, giving the Grizzlies a 14-7 lead.

McDowell then sealed the victory with a two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with three total touchdowns and over 200 yards of total offense.
The Montana defense also played a key role in the win, holding the Bengals to just two field goals in the second half. The Grizzlies now have a 4-1 record and are looking to build on their success as they head into their next game against Weber State.
McDowell’s performance was impressive, and it was a big part of why the Grizzlies were able to come away with the victory.
