Seattle

The Montana Grizzlies had a big win on Saturday, defeating the Idaho State Bengals 28-20. The Grizzlies were led by quarterback Dalton McDowell, who had a stellar performance with both passing and rushing touchdowns.

McDowell started the game off strong, throwing a 10-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Josh Horner in the first quarter. He followed that up with a 15-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, giving the Grizzlies a 14-7 lead.

The Bengals responded with a touchdown of their own to tie the game at 14-14 at halftime. But McDowell was not done yet. He threw another touchdown pass in the third quarter, this time to tight end Tyler Johnson, to give the Grizzlies a 21-14 lead.

McDowell then sealed the victory with a two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with three total touchdowns and over 200 yards of total offense.

The Montana defense also played a key role in the win, holding the Bengals to just two field goals in the second half. The Grizzlies now have a 4-1 record and are looking to build on their success as they head into their next game against Weber State.

McDowell’s performance was impressive, and it was a big part of why the Grizzlies were able to come away with the victory. His ability to both pass and run the ball effectively was crucial for Montana’s success, and it will be interesting to see if he can keep up this level of play as the season progresses.
