The Seattle Mariners have had a rough start to the 2021 season, and General Manager Jerry Dipoto has taken responsibility for the team’s lackluster performance. In a recent press conference, Dipoto apologized for the team’s mediocrity and vowed to make improvements.

“I take full responsibility for our current situation,” Dipoto said. “We have not played up to our potential, and that falls on me. I apologize to our fans and our players for not providing a better product on the field.”

Dipoto went on to explain that he has already begun making changes to the roster in an effort to improve the team’s performance. He said that he has been in contact with other teams to explore potential trades and has been looking for ways to upgrade the team’s pitching staff.

“We are actively looking for ways to improve our roster,” Dipoto said. “We are exploring trades, free agent signings, and other options to bolster our pitching staff. We are also looking at ways to improve our offense and defense.”

Dipoto also expressed his confidence in the team’s current core of players and said that he believes they can turn things around if they remain focused and work hard.

“I believe in this group of players,” Dipoto said. “They are talented and hard-working, and I am confident that they can turn things around if they remain focused and committed to the process. We have a lot of work to do, but I am confident that we can get back on track.”

The Mariners have a long road ahead of them if they hope to turn things around, but Dipoto’s apology and commitment to improving the team is a good first step. It remains to be seen whether or not his efforts will pay off, but Mariners fans can take solace in knowing that their GM is doing everything he can to make the team successful.
