Mariners Defeat Twins After Erasing Early Deficit

Mariners, MLB, Sports Seattle

The Seattle Mariners pulled off a thrilling victory over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night, erasing an early deficit to win 5-4.

The Twins got off to a strong start, scoring two runs in the first inning and adding another in the third. The Mariners, however, were not deterred. They responded with two runs in the fourth inning to tie the game, and then took the lead in the sixth with a solo home run by Kyle Seager.

The Twins weren’t done yet, though, as they tied the game in the bottom of the seventh. But the Mariners answered back in the top of the eighth, scoring two runs to take a 5-4 lead.

The Mariners’ bullpen then held strong, shutting down the Twins in the bottom of the eighth and ninth innings. The win was sealed when closer Edwin Diaz struck out the final batter of the game.

The victory was a huge one for the Mariners, who have been struggling lately. It was also a great comeback story, as they were able to erase an early deficit and come away with the win.

The Mariners will look to build on this momentum as they continue their season. They will face off against the Twins again on Wednesday night.
