Manchester City ended their four-match winless streak with a 2-1 victory over Luton Town on Wednesday night. The Citizens had gone four matches without a win, including a draw against West Bromwich Albion and a loss to Leicester City in the Premier League.

The match started off with Manchester City dominating possession and creating chances, but they were unable to find the back of the net in the first half. However, they finally broke the deadlock in the second half when Riyad Mahrez scored in the 63rd minute. The goal seemed to give City a much-needed boost of confidence and they continued to press forward.

In the 78th minute, Gabriel Jesus doubled City’s lead with a powerful strike from outside the box. Luton Town managed to pull one back in the 85th minute through a penalty kick, but it was too little too late for the visitors.

The win was a much-needed boost for Manchester City, who had been struggling in recent weeks. The victory also moved them up to fourth place in the Premier League table, just one point behind third-placed Leicester City.

Meanwhile, Everton also managed to pick up three points on Wednesday night, defeating Chelsea 3-1 at Goodison Park. The Toffees took the lead early on through a Richarlison goal in the 12th minute and never looked back. Dominic Calvert-Lewin added a second in the 33rd minute before Mason Mount pulled one back for Chelsea just before halftime. However, Everton sealed the victory in the second half with a goal from Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The win was a huge boost for Everton, who had been struggling for form in recent weeks. The victory moved them up to sixth place in the Premier League table, just two points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
