The LSU Tigers had a historic night on Tuesday, setting school records in a 133-44 rout of the McNeese State Cowboys. The 89-point margin of victory was the largest in school history, surpassing the previous record of 87 set in a win over Northwestern State in 2000.

The Tigers were led by freshman guard Javonte Smart, who scored a career-high 33 points on 11-of-14 shooting. Smart also had four rebounds and four assists in the victory. Senior forward Kavell Bigby-Williams added 22 points and 10 rebounds, while freshman forward Emmitt Williams had 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Tigers shot an impressive 57.1 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range. They also outrebounded the Cowboys 47-25 and had 24 assists on their 51 made field goals.

The win was the Tigers’ fourth straight and improved their record to 8-1 on the season. It was also the first time in school history that they have scored over 130 points in a game.

The Tigers will look to continue their hot streak when they take on the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday. The game will be a test for the Tigers, as the Razorbacks are currently ranked No. 21 in the AP Poll.

Overall, it was an impressive performance by the Tigers, as they set school records in a rout of the Cowboys. If they can continue to play at this level, they could be a force to be reckoned with in the SEC this season.
