Grant, a junior safety for the LSU Tigers, was diagnosed with the tumor in late March. He had been experiencing headaches and dizziness, and after undergoing an MRI, doctors found the tumor. Grant was immediately admitted to the hospital for further testing and treatment.

The surgery to remove the tumor was performed on April 5th at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. The procedure was successful and Grant is now in recovery.
