Davis was the star of the show, scoring 34 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He was efficient from the field, shooting 14-of-20 from the floor and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. His performance was even more impressive considering he was playing with a sore shoulder. Davis also contributed on the defensive end, blocking four shots and making a number of hustle plays.
James was also impressive, scoring 32 points and dishing out eight assists. He was efficient from the field, shooting 13-of-19 from the floor and 4-of-7 from three-point range. He also grabbed nine rebounds and had two steals.
The Lakers’ defense was also key to their victory, as they held the Warriors to just 98 points. They were able to limit Stephen Curry, who finished with 27 points on 10-of-21 shooting. The Lakers were able to contain Curry and the rest of the Warriors’ offense by using their length and athleticism to disrupt passing lanes and force turnovers.
The Lakers will look to build on their Game 1 win as they head into Game 2. If Davis and James can continue to dominate, the Lakers should be able to take a commanding lead in the series. The Warriors will need to find a way to slow down Davis and James if they want to have any chance of winning the series.
