Game 2 of the series was an exciting matchup between two of the league’s top goaltenders, Martin Jones and Marc-Andre Fleury. The game was a back-and-forth affair that saw both teams trading goals throughout the first two periods.

In the third period, the Sharks’ Joe Pavelski scored the go-ahead goal to give San Jose a 3-2 lead. However, Vegas was able to tie the game late in the period on a goal from Jonathan Marchessault. The game then went into overtime, where the Golden Knights’ William Karlsson scored the game-winning goal in sudden death.

The game was highlighted by the goaltending duel between Jones and Fleury. Both netminders were stellar throughout the game, making several highlight-reel saves. Jones made 35 saves on 38 shots, while Fleury stopped 33 of 36 shots.

The game also featured a battle between two of the league’s top power play units. The Sharks’ “Kraken” unit, led by Brent Burns and Logan Couture, was able to convert on two of their four power play opportunities. The Golden Knights’ “Avalanche” unit, led by Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty, was able to convert on one of their four power play opportunities.
