Seattle was abuzz with excitement on Tuesday night as two of its favorite sons, Julio Rodriguez and George Kirby, enjoyed the MLB All-Star Game from the comfort of their own homes. Both Rodriguez and Kirby were selected to the All-Star team this year and were looking forward to the experience of being part of the festivities.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the All-Star Game was moved from Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. This meant that the two Seattle natives had to watch the game from home. But that didn’t stop them from having a great time.
The two friends spent the evening cheering on their fellow All-Stars, eating snacks, and enjoying the game together. They even got to see their former teammate, Kyle Seager, hit a home run in the first inning. It was a moment that they will never forget.
Rodriguez and Kirby also took part in a virtual meet-and-greet with other All-Stars. They got to chat with some of the biggest names in baseball, including Mike Trout, Max Scherzer, and Gerrit Cole. It was a great opportunity for them to connect with some of the best players in the game.
Overall, it was a great night for Rodriguez and Kirby. They were able to enjoy the All-Star Game from the comfort of their own homes and still get to experience some of the festivities. It was a reminder that even though we can’t be together in person right now, we can still come together and enjoy the things that we love.
