Josef Newgarden has done it again. The American professional race car driver has secured consecutive victories at Texas Motor Speedway, this time with a podium finish for Pato O’Ward.

Newgarden, who drives for Team Penske in the NTT IndyCar Series, won the DXC Technology 600 on Saturday night. This was his second consecutive win at the track, having won the race last year as well. He is the first driver to win back-to-back races at the track since Scott Dixon in 2015 and 2016.

Newgarden was joined on the podium by Pato O’Ward, who finished third. This was O’Ward’s first podium finish in the NTT IndyCar Series and only his fourth race in the series. O’Ward, who is from Mexico, is the first Mexican driver to finish on the podium in the series since Adrian Fernandez in 2004.

Newgarden and O’Ward were joined on the podium by Simon Pagenaud, who finished second. Pagenaud, who is also from Team Penske, has now finished on the podium in three of the last four races at Texas Motor Speedway.

Newgarden’s victory was his third of the season and his 16th overall in the NTT IndyCar Series. He now leads the championship standings with a total of 441 points, 25 points ahead of second-place Scott Dixon.

The victory was also a milestone for Team Penske, as it marked their 200th win in IndyCar racing. The team has been competing in the series since 1968 and has won a total of 15 championships.

Overall, it was an exciting night of racing at Texas Motor Speedway and a great result for Josef Newgarden and Pato O’Ward. Newgarden continues to prove why he is one of the best drivers in the series, while O’Ward showed that he has what it takes to compete at the highest level. With Newgarden leading the championship standings and Team Penske celebrating their 200th win, it looks like they are both set to have a successful season.
