THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — Caleb Huffman’s 29 points helped Nicholls State defeat Northwestern State 77-63 on Saturday night.
Huffman also contributed six rebounds for the Colonels (8-9, 3-2 Southland Conference). Pierce Spencer added 14 points while going 5 of 8 (3 for 5 from distance), and he also had five rebounds. Lance Amir-Paul recorded 13 points and was 4-of-8 shooting and 5 of 6 from the free throw line.
Ja’Monta Black led the Demons (10-8, 2-3) in scoring, finishing with 18 points. Northwestern State also got 11 points and eight rebounds from Isaac Haney. Dayne Prim also had 11 points.
