The Miami Heat have taken a commanding 3-1 series lead in their first-round matchup with the New York Knicks after a 109-101 victory in Game 4. The Heat came out of the gates firing, taking a double-digit lead early in the first quarter and never looking back. Miami was able to maintain their advantage throughout the game, thanks in part to a balanced offensive attack that saw seven different players score in double figures.
The Heat also received a huge boost from their bench, with Tyler Herro and Goran Dragic combining for 25 points off the bench. Herro was especially impressive, scoring 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting while also adding four assists and three rebounds.
The Knicks were able to keep the game close throughout, but were unable to make the necessary plays down the stretch to take the lead. Randle was the lone bright spot for the Knicks, as he was able to keep them in the game with his efficient scoring and rebounding.
The Heat now look to close out the series in Game 5, as they look to advance to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2016. The Knicks will need to find a way to slow down Miami’s offense if they are to have any chance of extending the series.
