The Seattle Mariners have announced that two of their top prospects, Harry Ford and Jonatan Clase, have been selected to represent the team in the MLB Futures Game at T-Mobile Park. Harry Ford is a 21-year-old right-handed pitcher who has been in the Mariners’ organization since 2017. He has been steadily climbing the ranks of the minor leagues, and this season he has been playing for the Double-A Arkansas Travelers. In 11 starts this season, Ford has posted a 3.12 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP, while striking out 57 batters in 54.1 innings of work.
Jonatan Clase is a 19-year-old outfielder who was signed by the Mariners as an international free agent in 2017. He has been playing for the Single-A West Virginia Power this season, and he is currently batting .274 with six home runs and 28 RBIs in 47 games. Clase has also stolen 15 bases in 17 attempts, showing off his impressive speed and athleticism.
