The University of Georgia Bulldogs are looking to avoid a three-peat as they kick off their 2019 season against the UT-Martin Skyhawks. After two consecutive seasons of disappointment, the Bulldogs are determined to make a statement in their first game of the year.

The Bulldogs have had a tumultuous past two seasons, finishing with a combined record of 14-12. Last season, they finished with a 7-5 record and lost in the Liberty Bowl to TCU. This season, the Bulldogs are hoping to turn things around and get back to their winning ways.

Head coach Kirby Smart has been hard at work this offseason, bringing in a talented group of freshmen and transfers to help bolster the team. The team is led by senior quarterback Jake Fromm, who is looking to build on his impressive 2018 season. Fromm threw for 2,761 yards and 30 touchdowns last season and is expected to be even better this year.

The Bulldogs also have a strong group of running backs, led by junior D’Andre Swift. Swift rushed for 1,049 yards and 10 touchdowns last season and is expected to be even better this year. He is joined in the backfield by Elijah Holyfield, who rushed for 729 yards and seven touchdowns last season.

On defense, the Bulldogs are led by senior linebacker Monty Rice. Rice had a breakout season last year, recording 81 tackles and four sacks. He is joined by a talented group of defensive linemen, including Jonathan Ledbetter and Tyler Clark.

The Bulldogs are hoping that their hard work this offseason will pay off when they take on the UT-Martin Skyhawks on August 31st. The Skyhawks are coming off an 8-4 season and are looking to make a statement of their own. The Bulldogs will need to be at their best if they want to avoid a three-peat of disappointment.

The Bulldogs are determined to make this season one to remember and they will look to start it off with a win against UT-Martin. With a talented group of players and a motivated coaching staff, the Bulldogs are ready to prove that they can compete with anyone in the nation.
