The Eastlake High School Wolves have done it again! On Saturday, the Wolves won the 4A State Championship against Sumner High School in a thrilling game. The Wolves had a strong season leading up to the championship, and they were determined to bring home the title.
The Wolves started off strong with a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Sumner was able to respond with a touchdown of their own, but the Wolves defense held strong and kept them from scoring any more points. The Wolves offense was able to add another touchdown in the second quarter, and they went into halftime with a 14-7 lead.
In the second half, the Wolves continued to dominate. They scored two more touchdowns and held Sumner scoreless for the rest of the game. The final score was 28-7, and the Wolves were crowned 4A State Champions.
The Wolves had an impressive season leading up to the championship game. They finished the regular season with a 10-2 record, and they won their first two playoff games by a combined score of 67-14.
