The Carolina Panthers have been eagerly awaiting the return of their star quarterback, Bryce Young, to the practice field. After missing Week 3 due to an undisclosed injury, Young was finally able to get back on the field and take part in practice this week.
Young has been a key part of the Panthers offense since being drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He has shown flashes of brilliance in his first two starts, throwing for over 300 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1 against the Houston Texans. He followed that up with another impressive performance against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2, throwing for over 200 yards and two more touchdowns.
Unfortunately, Young was forced to miss Week 3 due to an undisclosed injury. The Panthers were forced to turn to backup quarterback P.J. Walker in his absence, and he was able to lead the team to a win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Now that Young has returned to practice, the question remains: will he be ready to play in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings? Head coach Matt Rhule has yet to make a decision on Young’s status for the upcoming game, but he did say that Young looked good in practice and is progressing well.
The Panthers will need Young’s arm if they want to have any chance of beating the Vikings on Sunday. He is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league and his presence could be the difference between a win and a loss.
Only time will tell if Young will be able to suit up for Week 4, but one thing is for sure: the Panthers are hoping he can make a full recovery and be ready to go come Sunday.
