Again
It’s been a long road to recovery for Iowa State quarterback Brock Purdy, but the good news is that he’s making progress in his recovery from elbow surgery. Purdy underwent the procedure in late December and has been working hard to get back to full strength.
The surgery was necessary to repair a torn ligament in his throwing elbow, and the recovery process has been slow and steady. Purdy has been limited in practice and has had to wear a brace on his arm during games. But recently, he’s been feeling more like himself again.
“I’m feeling normal again,” Purdy said. “I’m able to do all the things I was doing before the surgery. I’m able to throw with more velocity and accuracy than I was before.”
Purdy has been able to take part in full practices, and he’s been able to make all the throws he needs to make. He’s also been able to take part in team drills, which is a great sign for his recovery.
The Iowa State coaching staff is also pleased with Purdy’s progress. They know that he still has a long way to go, but they’re confident that he will be ready for the start of the season.
“Brock is making great progress,” said Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell. “He’s doing everything he needs to do to get back to full strength. We’re very pleased with his progress and we’re confident that he’ll be ready for the start of the season.”
