Boise State Defeats Western Oregon 109-70 Behind Rice’s 28 Points

The Boise State Broncos had an impressive victory over the Western Oregon Wolves on Saturday night, winning 109-70. Led by Derrick Rice’s 28 points, the Broncos were able to dominate the game from start to finish.

Rice was the star of the night, shooting 11-of-17 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range. He was also able to get to the free throw line, making all four of his attempts. His 28 points were a career high, and he also added five rebounds and four assists.

The Broncos were able to jump out to an early lead and never looked back. They shot 50.7 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three-point range. They also dominated the boards, outrebounding the Wolves 43-25.

The Broncos had four players in double figures, with Justinian Jessup adding 17 points, RJ Williams chipping in 16 points, and Marcus Dickinson contributing 12 points. The team also had a balanced attack, with nine different players scoring at least one point.

The Broncos’ defense was also impressive, holding the Wolves to just 35.2 percent shooting from the field and 25 percent from three-point range. They forced 18 turnovers and held Western Oregon to just two fast break points.

The Broncos will look to continue their winning ways when they face off against the Idaho Vandals on Tuesday night. With Rice leading the way, Boise State looks poised to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament this season.
