Ducks
The Oregon Ducks have high hopes for the upcoming season, and much of that optimism is due to the return of quarterback Bo Nix. After a successful freshman campaign in 2019, Nix is looking to build on his success and lead the Ducks to a Pac-12 championship.
Nix was a highly touted recruit coming out of high school, and he quickly made an impact in his first season at Oregon. He threw for 2,242 yards and 19 touchdowns while also rushing for 324 yards and four touchdowns. He was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and was an honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection.
Nix has been working hard this offseason to improve his game. He has been studying film and working with coaches to refine his mechanics and decision making. He has also been working on his footwork and accuracy, two areas that were a bit inconsistent last season.
The Ducks are hoping that Nix can take the next step and become an elite quarterback in the Pac-12. He has all the tools to be successful, and with another year of experience under his belt, he should be able to take advantage of the talented group of receivers and running backs that Oregon has.
Nix is a leader on the team, and his teammates have praised his work ethic and leadership abilities. He is a natural leader, and he has already taken on a larger role in the locker room this offseason. He is also a great teammate, and his presence will be invaluable as the Ducks look to make a deep run in the Pac-12 this season.
