Bellevue Wolverines’ Alex Buck Wins 100 and 200 Meters, Team Places Second in Girls Track and Field Meet

The Bellevue Wolverines had a successful showing at the recent girls track and field meet, with Alex Buck taking home first place in both the 100 and 200 meter events. The Wolverines as a team placed second overall, a great result for the hardworking athletes.

Alex Buck was the star of the show, winning both the 100 and 200 meter events with ease. She was the clear favorite going into the meet, and she did not disappoint. Her time of 11.6 seconds in the 100 meter event was a personal best, and she followed that up with a time of 24.3 seconds in the 200 meter event.

The Wolverines team as a whole put in a great effort, with several other athletes placing in their respective events. In the 4×100 relay, the team of Alex Buck, Sarah Johnson, Emily Smith, and Rachel Jones placed second with a time of 51.2 seconds. In the 4×400 relay, the team of Alex Buck, Sarah Johnson, Emily Smith, and Rachel Jones placed third with a time of 4:12.2.

The Wolverines also had several individual athletes place in their events. Sarah Johnson placed third in the 400 meter event with a time of 1:04.2, while Emily Smith placed fourth in the 800 meter event with a time of 2:30.3. Rachel Jones placed fifth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.2 seconds.

The Wolverines’ strong showing at the meet is a testament to their hard work and dedication throughout the season. Alex Buck’s impressive performance was the highlight of the day, but the team as a whole put in a great effort that resulted in a second place finish overall. With such a strong showing, the Wolverines have set themselves up for success in future meets.
