The Arizona Diamondbacks pulled off a thrilling 6-5 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series on Thursday night. The win ties the series at two games apiece.

The game was a back-and-forth affair, with the Phillies taking an early lead. But the Diamondbacks battled back, and in the bottom of the eighth inning, they got the key hits they needed to take the lead.

First, outfielder Kole Thomas hit a solo home run to tie the game at 5-5. Then, with two outs, infielder Ildemaro Vargas singled and was driven in by outfielder Tim Locastro’s double.

The Diamondbacks then turned to reliever Yoan Lopez to close out the game. He did just that, retiring the side in order in the ninth inning and securing the win for Arizona.

The hero of the night was undoubtedly Thomas, who came through with a clutch home run when his team needed it most. But it was also a team effort, with Vargas and Locastro driving in key runs and Lopez shutting down the Phillies in the ninth.

The Diamondbacks will now look to take advantage of their momentum and take a 3-2 lead in the series when they face off against the Phillies again on Friday night. If they can do that, they will be just one win away from advancing to the World Series.

It was an exciting game, and it showed that the Diamondbacks have what it takes to compete with the best teams in baseball. With Thomas’ homer and Moreno’s hit, they have put themselves in a great position to take home the National League pennant.
