It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Alvin Vaughn, a beloved 1961 Garfield High School basketball star and former University of Washington Husky. He passed away at the age of 61.
Alvin Vaughn was born in Seattle, Washington in 1959. He attended Garfield High School and was an integral part of the basketball team. He was a star player, leading the team to the state championship in 1961. After graduating from Garfield, he went on to play basketball at the University of Washington. He was a standout player for the Huskies, and his hard work and dedication to the team was evident in his performance.
Alvin Vaughn was an inspiration to many. He was a leader on and off the court, and he always put his team first. He was known for his positive attitude and his willingness to help others. He was a mentor to many of his teammates, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
