On Tuesday night, the New York Yankees continued their winning streak with a 10-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners. The Yankees were led by Aaron Judge, who had a stellar performance at the plate. Judge went 4-for-5 with two home runs and four RBIs. He also scored three runs and had a walk.
Judge’s first home run came in the bottom of the first inning, giving the Yankees an early 2-0 lead. His second home run came in the bottom of the sixth inning, extending the Yankees’ lead to 8-2. Judge also had an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning and an RBI double in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The Yankees’ offense was not limited to Judge, however. Gleyber Torres had a two-run double in the bottom of the fourth inning, and Miguel Andujar had an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning. Brett Gardner also had a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
The Yankees’ pitching was also impressive, as starter Masahiro Tanaka allowed just two runs over six innings while striking out seven batters. Relievers Chad Green and Jonathan Holder combined to pitch three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out four batters.
The Yankees’ victory was their fourth in a row and improved their record to 16-10. With Judge leading the way, the Yankees look poised to make a deep run in the playoffs this season.
