Seattle Sports

The US Tennis Association (USTA) is taking a closer look at its safeguarding policies and procedures. In light of recent events, the USTA is making sure that its policies and procedures are up to date and that they are doing everything they can to protect players, coaches, and staff.

The USTA has been working with the US Center for SafeSport to develop a comprehensive plan to ensure the safety of all those involved in the sport. This includes creating a culture of respect and safety, providing education and training on safe sport practices, and implementing policies and procedures that protect all participants.

The USTA is also taking steps to ensure that all coaches, staff, and players are aware of the policies and procedures in place. This includes providing information on the USTA’s Code of Conduct, which outlines expectations for all participants. The USTA is also making sure that all coaches and staff have completed background checks and have received appropriate training on safe sport practices.

In addition, the USTA is evaluating its policies and procedures to ensure that they are up to date and are in line with the latest best practices. This includes making sure that the USTA has a clear process for reporting any incidents or concerns, as well as a system for responding to those reports.

The USTA is committed to providing a safe environment for all those involved in tennis. By evaluating its policies and procedures, the USTA is taking an important step in making sure that everyone involved in the sport is protected.
