The Dallas Cowboys continued their impressive home win streak on Sunday, defeating the Detroit Lions 20-19 in a thrilling matchup. The Cowboys have now won 16 consecutive games at AT&T Stadium, the longest streak in franchise history.
The Cowboys got off to a slow start, trailing the Lions 10-3 at halftime. But Dallas rallied in the second half, scoring 17 unanswered points to take a 20-10 lead late in the fourth quarter. The Lions made a late push, scoring a touchdown with just over a minute left to make it a one-point game. But the Cowboys defense held strong and the Lions were unable to convert the two-point conversion, giving Dallas the win.
Quarterback Dak Prescott had another strong performance, throwing for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Ezekiel Elliott also had a big day, rushing for 86 yards and a touchdown. The Cowboys defense was also impressive, limiting the Lions to just 19 points and forcing two turnovers.
The win was the Cowboys 16th consecutive home victory, a franchise record. It is also the longest current streak in the NFL. Dallas has now won six of their last seven games and are currently tied for first place in the NFC East.
The Cowboys will look to extend their win streak when they face the New York Giants next Sunday. With a win, Dallas would move into sole possession of first place in the division and inch closer to a playoff berth.
