Curtis Gaspard has had an incredible journey from his hometown of New Orleans to Seattle, Washington, where he is now a former University of Washington Husky. Gaspard was born and raised in the Big Easy, and he attended Archbishop Rummel High School, where he was a standout running back. After high school, Gaspard decided to take his talents to the University of Washington, where he was a four-year starter for the Huskies.
Gaspard’s time at the University of Washington was incredibly successful. He was an All-Pac-12 selection in both his junior and senior seasons, and he was named the team’s offensive MVP in his senior year. He also set the school record for most rushing yards in a single season, with 1,737 yards in his senior year. Gaspard was also a leader off the field, earning the Pac-12 Student-Athlete of the Year award in his senior season.
After graduating from the University of Washington, Gaspard decided to take his talents to the NFL. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Gaspard has since become an integral part of the Seahawks’ offense, playing in all 16 games during his rookie season and starting in seven of them. He has also been a key contributor on special teams, returning kicks and punts for the Seahawks.
Gaspard’s journey from New Orleans to Seattle has been an incredible one. He has gone from a standout high school running back to a Pac-12 Student-Athlete of the Year to an NFL starter. His hard work and dedication have paid off, and he is now living out his dream of playing in the NFL.
