The University of Connecticut (UConn) men’s basketball team is set to take on the Toronto Metropolitan in an NCAA-recognized regular-season game. This will be the first time that UConn has played a regular-season game outside of the United States.

The game will take place on November 17th at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada. UConn head coach Dan Hurley is excited about the opportunity to play in a different country and to give his players a unique experience. He said, “This is a great opportunity for our program to experience something different and unique. We are looking forward to playing in a different country and to seeing what it’s like to play in front of a different type of crowd.”

The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and will be the first NCAA-recognized regular-season game to be played outside of the United States since the NCAA began recognizing international games in 2001. The game will also be the first regular-season game for UConn since the team left the Big East Conference in 2013.

The Toronto Metropolitan is a professional basketball team that plays in the National Basketball League of Canada. The team is coached by former NBA player Jamaal Magloire and features several former NBA players, including former UConn star Andre Drummond.

This game will be a great opportunity for UConn to gain some international exposure and to give their players a unique experience. It will also be a great chance for the Toronto Metropolitan to show off their talent against one of the top teams in college basketball. It should be an exciting game and one that will be remembered for years to come.
