The Boise State Broncos had a dominant performance on Saturday night, defeating the Northwestern State Demons 95-54. The Broncos were led by guard Justin Degenhart, who scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting.
The Broncos started the game strong, taking a 10-point lead into halftime. They continued to build on their lead in the second half, outscoring the Demons 45-27. Degenhart was a major factor in the Broncos’ success, as he scored 10 of his 20 points in the second half.
Degenhart was not the only Bronco to have a big night, as forward Abu Kigab added 16 points and seven rebounds. Guard Derrick Alston also contributed 13 points and five assists.
The Demons were led by guard Ishmael Lane, who scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Guard Devonte Hall also had a solid game with 12 points and four assists.
The Broncos’ victory was a complete team effort, as they shot 52.9% from the field and held the Demons to just 37.5%. Boise State also outrebounded Northwestern State 38-27.
The win was a big one for the Broncos, as it improved their record to 7-2 on the season. The Demons dropped to 4-4 with the loss.
The Broncos will look to continue their winning ways when they take on the Fresno State Bulldogs on Tuesday night. The Demons will look to bounce back when they face the Houston Cougars on Wednesday night.
