The Oregon Ducks have added a new quarterback to their roster for the upcoming season. Graduate transfer Dillion Gabriel from Oklahoma and UCF will be joining the Ducks for the 2021 season.
Gabriel is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound signal caller who has been a part of two different college programs. He started his collegiate career at Oklahoma, where he was a redshirt freshman in 2018. He then transferred to UCF in 2019, where he appeared in 10 games and threw for 1,649 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Gabriel will be joining a Ducks team that is looking to build on their success from last season. Oregon finished the 2020 season with an 8-3 record and a No. 15 ranking in the AP Poll. The Ducks also made an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl, where they lost to Iowa State.
With Gabriel now on board, the Ducks have added another experienced quarterback to their roster. He will be competing with Tyler Shough, who started for the Ducks last season, as well as Anthony Brown, who transferred from Boston College in 2020.
Gabriel brings a lot of experience to the table and should be able to help the Ducks compete for a Pac-12 title this season. He has shown he can be successful in both the Big 12 and the AAC, and should be an asset to Oregon’s offense.
The addition of Gabriel is a great move for the Ducks, and should help them compete for a championship this season. With his experience and talent, he should be able to make an immediate impact on the team.
