The No. 7 Gonzaga men’s basketball team had a convincing victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday, November 28th. The Bulldogs defeated the Golden Lions 111-71 in a game that was never in doubt. Led by Braden Huff and Graham Ike, the Bulldogs dominated from start to finish.
Huff led the way for Gonzaga with a career-high 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting. He also added four rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the win. Ike was also impressive, scoring 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting. He also grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists.
The Bulldogs shot an impressive 57.7% from the field and 50% from three-point range. They also outrebounded Arkansas-Pine Bluff 39-30 and had 19 assists to the Golden Lions’ nine.
Gonzaga’s defense was also impressive, holding Arkansas-Pine Bluff to just 36.5% shooting from the field and 16.7% from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs forced 17 turnovers and scored 26 points off those turnovers.
The Bulldogs have now won four straight games and are off to a great start to the season. With Huff and Ike leading the way, Gonzaga looks poised to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament this year.
It was an impressive performance by the Bulldogs, and they look to carry their momentum into their next game against Idaho State on December 1st.
