The Gonzaga Bulldogs men’s basketball team had a dominant victory over Eastern Oregon on Wednesday night, winning 123-57. The Bulldogs, who are currently ranked #1 in the nation, showed why they are the top team in the country with their impressive performance.
The Bulldogs were led by their star forward, Corey Kispert, who scored a game-high 22 points. Kispert was efficient from the field, shooting 8-for-13 and 4-for-7 from three-point range. He also added four rebounds and three assists in the victory.
The Bulldogs also got strong contributions from their other starters. Guard Joel Ayayi had 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists while forward Anton Watson had 17 points and nine rebounds. Guard Andrew Nembhard had 11 points and five assists while forward Drew Timme had 10 points and seven rebounds.
The Bulldogs were able to build a big lead early in the game and never looked back. They led by as many as 68 points in the second half and cruised to the victory.
The win was the Bulldogs’ 18th consecutive victory and they have now won 24 of their last 25 games. They have been one of the most dominant teams in college basketball this season and look poised to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
The Bulldogs will look to continue their winning streak when they take on Portland State on Saturday.
