The Vikings’ defense was also key to their victory, holding the Wildcats to just 33 percent shooting from the field and forcing 16 turnovers. Portland State also outrebounded Linfield 33-24.
The win was a big one for the Vikings, as it was their first win against Linfield since 2015. It was also their third consecutive win, improving their overall record to 10-7.
