The Seattle Pacific University women’s soccer team has done it again! On Saturday, November 9th, the Falcons won the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship for the second year in a row.
The Falcons had an incredible season, finishing with a 14-2-3 record and an undefeated 8-0-2 record in the GNAC. They also earned the No. 1 seed in the GNAC tournament and were the favorites to win it all.
In the championship game, the Falcons faced off against Western Oregon University. It was a hard-fought battle, but the Falcons came out on top with a 2-1 victory. The goals were scored by sophomore forward Katelyn Erhardson and freshman midfielder Katelyn Lofgren.
The win was especially sweet for the Falcons, as they had lost to Western Oregon earlier in the season. The win also secured the Falcons’ spot in the NCAA Division II tournament, where they will compete against other top teams from across the country.
The Falcons have had an incredible season and have proven that they are one of the top teams in the GNAC. With their impressive record and their championship title, they have shown that they are a force to be reckoned with.
