The Houston Astros have done it again! After a thrilling Game 4 of the ALCS series against the Texas Rangers, the Astros have come out on top with a 10-3 victory. This win puts the Astros one step closer to the World Series.
The Astros were led by three of their stars: Jose Abreu, Yordan Alvarez and Jose Altuve. Abreu hit a two-run home run in the first inning, and Alvarez followed up with a solo shot in the second. Altuve then drove in three runs with a double in the fourth inning. These three players combined for seven of the Astros’ ten runs.
The Astros’ pitching was also impressive. Starter Lance McCullers Jr. threw five innings and allowed only two runs. The bullpen then came in and shut down the Rangers for the rest of the game.
The Astros now lead the ALCS series 3-1 and are just one win away from advancing to the World Series. They will look to close out the series in Game 5 on Sunday.
This has been an exciting series between two great teams. The Astros have been playing great baseball and have been led by their stars Abreu, Alvarez and Altuve. If they can close out the series on Sunday, they will be heading to the World Series for the first time since 2005.
