Deion Sanders’ son Shedeur Sanders had a tough loss against the No. 8 USC Trojans on Saturday. Despite the loss, Shedeur received praise from his father, NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.
Shedeur, a freshman quarterback for Jackson State University, led his team to a close game against the Trojans. The game was tied at 14-14 at halftime, and Jackson State was able to keep the game close until the fourth quarter when USC pulled away with a 28-14 victory.
Despite the loss, Deion Sanders was proud of his son’s performance. He tweeted after the game, “My son Shedeur Sanders just put on a show! He’s a true competitor and I’m proud of him! #ProudDad.”
Shedeur had a strong performance, completing 21 of his 36 passes for 236 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for a touchdown in the first quarter.
The loss was a tough one for Jackson State, but Shedeur’s performance was impressive. He showed poise and leadership throughout the game and proved that he is capable of leading his team against tough competition.
