The Oregon Ducks had a huge victory over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors on Saturday, with quarterback Justin Herbert leading the way. Herbert threw for three touchdowns and completed 17 of 21 passes for 309 yards in the 55-10 win.
The Ducks got off to a fast start, scoring on their first two drives of the game. Herbert connected with tight end Jacob Breeland for a 15-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring. On their next drive, Herbert found wide receiver Dillon Mitchell for a 24-yard touchdown pass. The Ducks would add two more touchdowns in the second quarter, one from Herbert to wide receiver Jaylon Redd and another from running back Cyrus Habibi-Likio.
The Ducks defense was also impressive, holding the Rainbow Warriors to just 10 points. The Ducks forced four turnovers, including two interceptions and two fumbles. The Ducks also had five sacks and held Hawaii to just 2.9 yards per carry.
Herbert was the star of the show, though, completing passes to nine different receivers and showing off his arm strength and accuracy. He also showed off his athleticism, rushing for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
The Ducks will look to keep their momentum going as they face the Stanford Cardinal next week. With Herbert playing at such a high level, the Ducks should be in good shape to make a run at the Pac-12 title.
