Michigan State University’s Husky football team will be welcoming back one of their own this Saturday. Germie Bernard, a wide receiver for the Huskies, is returning to his home state of Michigan after spending the past two years playing football in Florida.
Bernard, a native of Detroit, Michigan, was a standout wide receiver for the University of Florida Gators. During his time in Gainesville, he was a two-time All-SEC selection and was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2017. He also earned All-American honors in 2018 and was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation’s top receiver.
Now, Bernard is returning to Michigan State to finish his college career. He will be rejoining the Huskies for their upcoming game against the University of Michigan Wolverines. This will be Bernard’s first game back in his home state since leaving for Florida in 2017.
