The Seattle Mariners have been evaluating their top prospect Corbin Carroll during a series of games in Arizona. Carroll, a 19-year-old outfielder, was drafted in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft and is the Mariners’ No. 2 overall prospect.

Carroll has been impressive in his first season of professional baseball. He has hit .303 with a .902 OPS in 33 games for the Single-A Everett AquaSox. He has also shown off his speed, stealing 18 bases in 21 attempts.

The Mariners are now getting an up-close look at Carroll in Arizona. He has been playing in the Arizona Fall League, a league designed to give prospects additional development time. In six games so far, Carroll is hitting .333 with three stolen bases.

The Mariners have been impressed with Carroll’s performance so far. Manager Scott Servais said, “He’s doing a great job. He’s getting better every day and he’s showing us why we drafted him in the first round.”

The Mariners are hoping that Carroll can continue to develop and become a key part of their future. He has the potential to be an impact player at the major league level and the Mariners are eager to see how he performs against more advanced competition.

It will be interesting to see how Carroll performs over the rest of the Arizona Fall League and if he can continue to impress the Mariners. If he does, he could be on track to make his major league debut as early as next season.
