The Texas Rangers continued their winning streak on Wednesday night, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 5-1 at Globe Life Park. The Rangers have now won six games in a row, and the victory was powered by home runs from Nomar Mazara and Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

The Rangers got off to a strong start, scoring two runs in the first inning. Mazara hit a solo home run off Rays starter Ryan Yarbrough in the bottom of the first, and Kiner-Falefa followed up with a two-run shot in the second. The Rangers added another run in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly from Joey Gallo, and then tacked on two more in the sixth on an RBI single from Ronald Guzman and an RBI double from Rougned Odor.

Rangers starter Lance Lynn was dominant, allowing just one run on four hits over seven innings of work. He struck out nine batters and walked none, and improved his record to 8-4 on the season. The bullpen took care of the rest, with Jesse Chavez and Shawn Kelley combining to pitch two scoreless innings to close out the game.

The win was the Rangers’ sixth in a row, and they now sit atop the AL West with a record of 44-30. They will look to continue their winning ways as they take on the Rays again on Thursday night.

Overall, it was a great team effort from the Rangers, as they were able to get contributions from all over the lineup. Mazara and Kiner-Falefa’s home runs provided the offense, while Lynn and the bullpen shut down the Rays’ bats. If the Rangers can keep this up, they should be in good shape for the rest of the season.
