The Seattle Mariners are welcoming back one of their own this week as Corbin Carroll, the rookie outfielder for the Arizona Diamondbacks, returns to Seattle for the All-Star Game. Carroll was born and raised in the Seattle area and was a standout player at Lakeside High School. He was drafted by the Diamondbacks in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft and has been making a name for himself ever since.
Carroll is having an impressive rookie season, batting .293 with four home runs and 22 RBIs. He was selected to the All-Star Game as a result of his strong performance and will be the first rookie from the Diamondbacks to make the All-Star team since 2017.
Carroll is excited to be returning to his hometown for the All-Star Game and is looking forward to seeing some familiar faces. He says that he still keeps in touch with some of his old coaches and teammates from high school and that it will be great to see them again.
The All-Star Game will be a great opportunity for Carroll to show off his skills on a national stage. He is looking forward to representing the Diamondbacks and showing everyone what he can do. He also hopes that his performance will inspire other young players from Seattle who may be dreaming of making it to the big leagues one day.
It’s always exciting when a hometown player makes it to the All-Star Game, and this year is no exception. Everyone in Seattle is rooting for Corbin Carroll and wishing him the best of luck as he takes the field for the All-Star Game.
