Williams believes that the rule is unfair and discriminates against younger players who are just starting out in the league. She said, “I think it’s really unfortunate that the WNBA is prioritizing players who have been in the league for three years or more. It’s a great opportunity for those players, but it’s also a disservice to the younger players who are just getting started.”
Williams also believes that the rule will hurt the league in the long run. She said, “It’s going to be hard for the WNBA to attract new talent if they’re not giving younger players a chance to prove themselves. It’s important that the league is open to all players, regardless of experience.”
Williams is looking forward to joining the Storm and is confident that she can make an impact on the team. She said, “I’m excited to join the Storm and I’m confident that I can help them win games. I’m looking forward to playing with some of the best players in the world and I’m ready to get to work.”
