The Seattle Seahawks have made four roster moves, including the signing of defensive tackle Mario Edwards Jr. Edwards Jr. was a second-round pick of the Oakland Raiders in 2015 and has spent the last two seasons with the New York Giants.
The Seahawks also signed defensive tackle Bryan Mone, wide receiver Penny Hart, and cornerback Ryan Neal. All four players were signed to one-year contracts.
Edwards Jr. is a 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive tackle who has played in 55 career games with the Raiders and Giants. He has recorded seven sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception in his career. Edwards Jr. is expected to provide depth to the Seahawks’ defensive line.
Mone is a 6-foot-4, 325-pound defensive tackle who was originally signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He was released by the Lions in October of 2019 and has since been a member of the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad. Mone is expected to provide depth to the Seahawks’ defensive line as well.
Hart is a 5-foot-8, 180-pound wide receiver who was originally signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He was released by the Colts in August of 2020 and has since been a member of the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad. Hart is expected to provide depth to the Seahawks’ receiving corps.
Neal is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound cornerback who was originally signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He was released by the 49ers in August of 2020 and has since been a member of the Los Angeles Chargers’ practice squad. Neal is expected to provide depth to the Seahawks’ secondary.
