The Oilers made a valiant effort to come back in the third period, as Leon Draisaitl scored two goals to cut the Golden Knights’ lead to one. However, Jack Eichel sealed the victory for the Golden Knights with an empty-net goal late in the third period.
Eichel had a huge game for the Golden Knights, as he recorded three points (one goal and two assists). His performance was instrumental in helping the Golden Knights take a 3-2 series lead.
The Golden Knights will look to close out the series in Game 6 on Tuesday night. If they can do so, they will advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
