Bellevue, Washington is home to a remarkable teenager who recently qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open Golf Tournament. 17-year-old Sarah Busey, a junior at Bellevue High School, earned her spot in the tournament after competing in the U.S. Women’s Open Sectional Qualifier at the Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Washington.
Busey is no stranger to the game of golf. She has been playing since she was seven years old and has been competing in tournaments since she was nine. She has won several junior tournaments, including the 2019 Washington Junior Golf Association Player of the Year.
Busey’s success in golf is due in part to her hard work and dedication to the sport. She practices for several hours each day and works with her coach, former PGA Tour player and current teaching professional, Mike Schy. Busey credits Schy for helping her improve her game and reach her goals.
The U.S. Women’s Open is one of the most prestigious tournaments in women’s golf. It is held annually and features some of the best female golfers in the world. Busey will be competing against some of the best players in the world, including defending champion Jeongeun Lee6.
