Washington State University (WSU) football has added Na’im Rodman, a former starter at the University of Colorado, to its roster as a transfer defensive tackle. Rodman, who is 6’3” and weighs in at 285 pounds, was a four-star recruit out of high school and was rated as the No. 8 defensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.com. He played in all 12 games for Colorado last season and started six of them, recording 24 tackles, two sacks, and two pass breakups.
Rodman is expected to be a key contributor for WSU this season. He brings experience and a strong work ethic to the team, and he has the potential to be a dominant force on the defensive line. His size and strength will be a great asset for the Cougars, and he should be able to make an immediate impact.
Head coach Mike Leach is excited to have Rodman on board. “Na’im is a great addition to our program,” Leach said. “He’s a hard worker and a great athlete who will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to our team. He’s got the size and strength to be a force on the defensive line, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do this season.”
Rodman is also looking forward to the opportunity to play for WSU. “I’m excited to join the Cougars and be part of such a great program,” he said. “I can’t wait to get out there and help the team win games. I’m looking forward to the challenge and I know I can make an impact.”
The addition of Rodman is a big boost for the WSU defense, which has been struggling in recent years. With his size, strength, and experience, he should be able to help the Cougars turn things around this season. It will be exciting to see what he can do in his first year with the team.
